Aging and Health

It is believed that our organs and body Qi really do not fully develop until we are around forty years old. You will see many “forty-something” practitioners of Tai Qi performing this nourishing exercise and Qi Gong in parks throughout China. Some pessimistic people think that by the age forty years old, it's all downhill, but no so, we know better.

The Pessimists View:

If you want to live long, it is very important to keep and maintain the body Qi. This can be achieved by a number of means:

Lifestyle:        Maintain a low stress lifestyle by living in harmony with nature and your surroundings. Don’t get upset easily.

Nutrition:        be conscious of what you eat, be sure to include strong foods such as herbs to build a strong constitution and nourish your vital organs..

Exercise:        Tai Qi and the many and various Qi Gong exercises, will keep your vital organs metabolising the essential nutrients from food, and also lubricate the joints, preventing arthritis later.

Healthcare:    When you are sick, or feeling under the weather go to your healthcare provider immediately. They will know what to do. By waiting until later, you will need more visits later on which may be expensive.
